Tang was originally made for astronauts who realized how out of this world it was and it soon became a drink represented by a crazy chimp with the slogan "its a kick in a glass!"... wait what? I love sugary powder in water as much as the next person, but what does a gang of crazy chimps have to do with a smooth, delicious orange beverage.
On the other hand, Sunny Delight has a more defined taste obvious from their ads... A kid opens a freezer and sees a bottle of "soda" and "water" and chooses the obvious colorful and fun, Sunny D! It does have a greater health value, but if we cared about that we would be drinking orange juice.
This just comes down to personal preference. I prefer Sunny D because every time I guzzle a glass of Tang, the image of dirty dancing chimps in my drink makes me want to take a shower. Both drinks bring back great memories!
Sunny D or Tang?
